I love a big egg, but there are times it pays to downsize such as early winter/ late fall and on highly pressured waters.
A beneficial byproduct of the smaller size is a quicker sink rate. These will get down much quicker than larger/ denser eggs of the same weight as they are half the size of a standard egg.
