A single version of my articulated Bedhead Sculpin.
The small-medium sized streamer is a great cross over between 'tight-lining' and throwing on a traditional line.
Two toned marabou forms a veil around the entire fly toning down the otherwise high flash. The fly is heavily tapered to produce a sculpin silhouette, despite a growing impressionistic and attractor color range. And finally, the fly is finished with a dense head of flashy cdc dubbing which I blend specifically for each fly color scheme.
One thing to note, the cdc head reduces the drop speed of the fly, similar to deer hair (but not to the same extreme). I find this desirable, but if a quick decent is the intent (tight-lining) upsizing the weight would be worth considering
