I’ve been obsessed with small flies recently and after doing two large custom boxes built around 2.5mm and 2mm micro nymphs I’ve decided to offer a smaller sampler with some of my favorite patterns. Flies range from #20-22 with tungsten bead sizes being 2.5mm and 2mm.
Note, some flies (perdigons and French nymph) are tied on barbless Fulling Mill dry fly hooks. They are obviously not as strong as the jig hooks but since these are typically fished on light tippet with soft rods that shouldn’t be an issue. I personally prefer these hooks when I tie my own small flies as they have a much finer point so that I can get a faster/ solid hook set with minimal effort and not risk breaking the extra light tippet.
